Trusted Website Design is based on the the composition of many significant attributes and the premise of trust.
After graduating from college with a BA degree in Elementary Education, I taught at a K-8 public school in New Jersey and became the school’s 1990 Teacher of the Year. In 1996, I was inducted into “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers.”
In 1994, I became computer lab instructor and assisted with the installation of our school’s first computer lab. In 1997, I was awarded the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Grant and was featured on the award winning television show Classroom Close-Up NJ. In 1998, I worked with an Apple computer engineer to install brand new computers in the school’s computer lab. I assisted in networking the computers in the lab and classrooms. In 1999, I wrote a grant to bring high-speed Internet access to our school and the school was awarded the Technology Literacy Challenge Fund Grant. Part of the Technology grant involved establishing a school website. That was quite a challenge in 1999 but the grant provided training and the school website was soon up and running. There were few people who knew much about the technicalities and there was very little in the way of software to make the process simple but through the years, all of that has changed.
In 2001, after 28 years of public school teaching, I retired and began designing websites It is no secret that my mother and husband, Skeete Nalley were my inspiration, encouraging me to pursue this endeavor. As you can see from our portfolio, we have designed many websites consisting of small businesses, educational associations and churches.
Upon graduating from college, I began the first year of my teaching career. After teaching second grade for 1 year, I was hired as a third grade teacher and taught that grade until 1972. I then transferred to the new school where I continued to teach until 2003.
Throughout my teaching career I taught 4th, 5th, and 6th grades as well as the Gifted and Talented students, becoming the Computer Lab Teacher. In 1994, I was challenged to set up the first computer lab in our school and manage the school’s wehsite. Assisting in developing the tech standards for the school’s computer lab became a priority and I integrated most of the state content standards from the classroom with computer projects.
In 1985, I was awarded the Governor’s Teacher of the Year Award and the local Teacher of the Year in 1988. I was inducted into the “Who’s Who Among America’s Teachers” in 1992. Retiring in 2003, I now assist trustedwebsitedesign.com in creating a maintaining professional websites.
